- Team pictures will be June 3rd at 8:00 am, right before the Lakewood meet.
- Swimsuits from D&J will be available for pick up next week.
- Team swim caps will also be available for purchase next week. All swimmers need a cap for the meets.
- Please read the information below as a few things have changed this year. I have attached the information as a word document as well as posted it. We look forward to seeing you at practice next week!

TRYOUTS: All swimmers must be able to swim one lap of the pool unassisted. Tryouts will be held the first week during practices for new swimmers. Swimmers will jump into the pool to swim one lap of the pool without help. If you have already registered and paid for a swimmer and they are unable to swim the full lap of the pool, we will refund your money.
REFUNDS: All refund requests must be done in writing to Lacey Liggitt at [email protected] by Monday, June 3, 2019. No refunds will be given after that date.
VOLUNTEERS: Each swim team family is required to work two volunteer shifts. The only way our swim team works is if EVERYONE HELPS OUT. We have some families who end up volunteering at every swim meet and miss seeing their kids swim so please help us out and sign up for at least two shifts. Each family is required to work two shifts regardless of the number of meets your child attends. If you do not work two shifts, you will be fined $200 at the end of the season. The fine pays for the extra lifeguards we have to hire to fill vacant volunteer positions.
If you sign up for a shift but do not show up, you will be fined $50. It delays the swim meet for everyone when we have to fill positions last minute. If you have a last minute conflict, you must notify Anne ([email protected]) or Holly ([email protected]) before the start of the meet so they are able to find someone else to fill the job. Please make sure to be on time and check in with Anne or Holly when you arrive for your shift so they can give you credit for your shift. Volunteering is a great way to get to know the kids and get involved with the team.
SWIM MEETS: Log in to the team website (royaloaks.swimtopia.com) to declare if your swimmer is attending the meet and to select your swimmer’s events. Relays are coach formed, but please select whether or not your swimmer is available for the relays. If you do not sign up your swimmer by the deadline, your swimmer will not be allowed to swim in the meet. The lanes are assigned prior to the meet so we are unable to add people during the meet. NEW THIS YEAR: Swimmers will sit with their age group during the meets. This will help coaches and ready bench volunteers be able to locate swimmers so they do not miss their events. This will also allow the swimmers get to know each other better and hopefully cheer each other on as teammates. What to bring to a swim meet: 2 pairs of goggles, team swim cap, 2 towels, sunscreen, water and snacks, and games/activities to play while waiting.
CHAMPS: This year the Champs meet will be Sunday, July 7th at Eubanks Natatorium located at 7411 First St. Frisco, Texas 75034. 9 and overs will warm-up at 8:00 am and begin the meet at 9:00 am. 8 and unders will warm-up at 1:30 pm and start races at 2:30 pm. The order of the races will be different as well, more information to come as we get closer to the meet. Loos Natatorium where Champs is normally held is currently under construction and the Eubanks Natatorium was the only available venue and unfortunately Sunday was the only available day. Thank you for understanding that the circumstances are out of our control this year.
BANQUET:The end of the season banquet will be Thursday, July 11th at 6:00 pm. Please mark your calendars and plan to attend; details will be sent out closer to the event.
PRACTICES: Practice begins Tuesday, May 28th. When possible please plan to attend morning practices. All practice times are listed on the website!
